An auto-rickshaw driver and his wife were seriously injured when a Maruti car hit their auto on June 15 at 11.45 pm opposite Golf Club on CG Road.

According to the police, the auto driver Ravindra Kumar Phulchand Mishra (28) and his wife Kiran were going home when they were hit by a speeding Maruti car.

The car driver lost control and hit the rickshaw seriously injuring Mishra and his wife. Mishra managed to note the number of the car before the driver escaped. The number of the car is MH-04-AS-6164.

Mishra, a resident of Hashu Advani Nagar, Vashi Naka, and his wife sustained serious injuries and were admitted to Sion hospital.

The Chembur police have registered cases against the car driver under Sections 289 and 339 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 134 (A, B) of the Motor Vehicles Act (MVA).
