The beautician paid Lalwani Rs 35,000 as compensationAdvocate LS Lalwani, resident of SN Road who lost ornaments worth Rs 50,000 at Heena beauty parlour on SN Road (metro Sept 13-19) has been compensated by the parlour.
Lalwani had filed a case of negligence against Dyna Khanamkar and Shilpa, two beauticians with the Mulund police.
According to Lalwani, two women who entered the parlour had stolen her ornaments which she had removed while she was getting some beauty treatment.
Lalwani says she has withdrawn her case against the beautician as the parlour management has ensured that Dyna and Shilpa have paid Rs 35,000 as compensation.
After the report in metro, the beautician from the parlour approached me saying she was ready to pay compensation. We have agreed on Rs 35,000. They will be paying it soon. She adds, I have withdrawn my case.
Dyna and Shilpa, who have stopped coming to the parlour, were unavailable for comment. The owner of the parlour has cancelled their contracts. I have joined as the new beautician, says an employee who doesnt want to be named.
