Should we have quotes in pvt cos ?

I think that the private sector should have reservations on the basis of caste. In the society no one is interested in improving the condition of the backward class and options such as reservations can improve their educational as well as financial condition.

I am in favour that everyone should be educationally as well as financially secure. If not the society, it becomes the responsibility of the government to look after the needs of the minorities and it has to begin somewhere.

Initially it will be difficult for people to admit the fact that a person from a lower caste can be as competent as anyone else.

We should learn from a country like Japan, which does not believe in discrimination on the basis of caste, hence everyone gets the opportunity to do what they are capable of doing. As a result they are so advanced.

Hence if we have to be a part of the advanced world, the mindset of the people has to change.

By reserving seats in the private sector, we can make more use of the available manpower. I do not believe in any kind of discrimination but its sad the way it is deep-rooted in our society. While in some of the North Indian states, it is overt, it exists in other states very covertly.

Talking about the disadvantages of reservations in the private sector, I feel that it should not be misused.

For this, the company or the organisations hiring people should make sure that only deserving people get the seat. The background of the person should be evaluated and the selected process should be on that basis.
