An unlicenced revolver and three live cartridges were recovered from a young man who was arrested on Sept 21 at Jain Mandir Road, Mulund (W).

According to the police, two beat marshals found Yemen Yellappa (25) near Saurabh building around 1.30 am. As the cops approached Yellappa, he attempted to run away. When they searched Yellappa, they found the revolver and cartridges on his person.

When he was unable to explain how he came to be in possession of the revolver, the beat marshals arrested him.

The cops say they are interrogating Yellappa to find out more details about him. He hasnt disclosed much, says an official.
