Times of India staffer assaulted outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

Three unidentified men, between the ages of 25 and 28 assaulted and robbed an employee of the Times of India yesterday at 12.45 am (00.45 hours) at Pendre Chowk, at the rickshaw stand near the Sail Colony hutments.

Bodhitatva Amulya Ganguly (34), a resident of Chembur, was walking away from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus when he was accosted by three unknown men. One of them stopped him and asked him where he was going at that time of the night.

Another caught him by the collar while a third started beating him up.They snatched Rs 3,000 in cash that he was carrying with him and took away his Siemens mobile phone, worth about Rs 5,500. A case has been registered with the Nehrunagar Police Station under Sections 392 and 34 of the India Penal Code.
