Western Railway authorities have nabbed sixteen touts in the last two months following raids at
reservation counters at Churchgate, Virar and Mumbai Central stations.
The authorities seized 13 tickets amounting to Rs 6,679, 13 filled requisition forms and Rs 5,700 from a person during a raid at the computerised reservation centre at Virar on September 16, a Western Railway release said here today.
Similarly, another person was arrested in a raid at computerised reservation centre, Churchgate and fourteen tickets amounting to Rs 6,638 were recovered from him, the release said.
A travel agency employee was arrested last month and tickets worth Rs 2,091 seized from him, the release said, adding, thirteen other touts were caught during a raid at the reservation centre, Mumbai Central, last month. |
