However, despite government's permission Pakistan pulled out of the tournament hours before its start in an apparent retaliation to India's refusal to play cricket in Sharjah. Duty Magistrate Pratap Singh Malik sent Goel and his 27 party activists to Tihar Jail till April 17 after they were produced before him this afternoon. The Sena activists have been accused of rioting and promoting enemity between religions. Their counsel Vinod Khanna moved a bail application which would be heard tomorrow. Several Shiv Sainiks led by Goel had yesterday marched towards Ambedkar Bus Terminus raising anti-Pakistan slogans as the white Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation bus by which Pakistan team was due to arrive from Lahore approached the bus terminus near Raj Ghat. The demonstrators were prevented from proceeding further and after about 10 minutes of slogan shouting they were taken away by the police.
