New Delhi: Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee today said that the issue of terrorism figured when his Pakistani counterpart Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali spoke to him over telephone last night.

Though he did not give details of his talks with Jamali since Parliament was in session, the Prime Minister told the weekly BJP Parliamentary Party meeting that terrorism was among the issues he discussed with the Pakistani Prime Minister.

Vajpayee said if the issue figures in Parliament, he may make a statement in the House, party spokesman V K Malhotra told here.

The Prime Minister, who chaired the meeting, said the Government was making efforts to evolve a consensus on the Women's Reservation Bill with a view to bringing forward a legislation in the current session, Malhotra said.

Deputy Prime Minister, L K Advani asked all ministers to reply to letters from Members of Parliament since they were not getting prompt response to their queries, Malhotra said.

Members raised issues like better deal for sugarcane growers of Uttar Pradesh, VAT, powerlooms and readymade garments.

Finance Minister Jaswant Singh assured them that their views would be taken care of when he replies to the Finance Bill in Lok Sabha tomorrow.
