New Jersey: While much of the state was still digging out from the weekend snowstorm, a man dubbed the Eminem bank robber made his 11th unauthorised withdrawal since October, the FBI said.
The man again wore a ski cap over his ears, like the hip-hop artist, when he entered the Valley National Bank in Kearny about 9.20 am on Tuesday and handed a teller a note demanding money.
Like other notes, it threatened he would shoot, but no weapon was seen, said FBI Special Agent Steve Kodak, a spokesman for the Newark office, which has the robber on its most wanted list.
Authorities got a modest lead after this robbery when witnesses saw the robber get into a black vehicle. The robberies have netted about $32,000, and have occurred in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Ocean and Passaic counties. Photos taken by bank surveillance cameras show the robber wearing three varieties of extra-large ski caps.
One is gray, another jet black and a third is embroidered with a New York Yankees logo. The FBI wanted poster distributed around the state described the suspect as a white man, about 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet 1, with a thin build and green-blue eyes.
