The city police seized 860 litres of illicit liquor worth Rs 35,000 from Mulund yesterday evening. Acting on a tip-off that a car carrying illicit liquor would be passing through a specified route, the police maintained a constant vigil in the area, sources said. On spotting the vehicle, the police chased it. The vehicle, carrying 17 rubber packs of liquor was later found abandoned on the road, sources added.
