Actress Amisha Patel is suing her parents to the tune of Rs 12 crore, claiming they embezzled her hard-earned money.
According to a leading film magazine, Amisha has claimed that her father Amit Patel has swindled her money to run his audiocassette manufacturing business, which had been running at a loss.
Amishas lawyer, Vibhav Krishna, confirmed this. Amisha was, however, unavailable for comment as she is currently shooting for Vashu Bhagnanis movie Vaada in Paris.
Amishas parents say she is refusing to even meet them or speak to them.

His father, barrister Rajani Patel, left him a fortune.
Amishas parents believe the actress would not take such extreme steps on her own. They think a leading film director, to whom Amisha is very close, is behind her actions. The family is trying to work out an out-of-court settlement with her.
The matter should not be taken to a point from where there is no return. It should be resolved within the family, says Pradhan. They are eagerly awaiting her return from Paris and we will see to it that she is happy, he adds.
It was learnt that veteran director Mahesh Bhatt is mediating between the warring daughter and parents. However, Bhatt could not be contacted as he is apparently in Europe.
