Man goes for haircut, gets 'porn' treatment By: A Mid Day Correspondent September 29, 2004 Mazhar Hussain Shaikh Abdul Habib Shaikh, a 35-year-old salesman went for a haircut to a beauty salon on Sunday evening, but had a hair-raising experience instead.
Mazhar went to the Orient Ladies and Gents Beauty Parlour in Goregaon (west) for a haircut at around 5 pm that day.
After getting his hair trimmed, he was about to leave, when two women working in the parlour approached him and allegedly tried to seduce him by touching him and making obscene gestures.
Two male employees at the parlour joined them eventually. The men tried to force Mazhar into a complete body massage.
They also showed him pornographic pictures in a bid to convince him into taking the massage.
Mazhar somehow managed to extricate himself and ran out of the parlour located at Hiren Shopping Centre, Goregaon.
He then lodged a complaint with the Goregaon police station.
In his complaint, Hussain said that the two men and women tried to touch him and also showed him pornographic pictures.
The accused, Shafik Manohar Papal (49), the owner of the parlour, Mohammed Feroz Mohammed Variz (22), Salma Parvez Sayeed (25) and Sabhana Mohammed Ali Shaikh (27) have been arrested.
They were booked under Section 292 (sale or display of obscene books), 294 (obscene acts and songs) and 34 (acts done by several persons with common intent) of the Indian Penal Code.
Investigating officer S Patel said that they recovered two pornographic magazines from the parlour.
He said that they were investigating if a flesh trade was being carried out from the parlour.
The officer also said this was the first complaint received against the parlour.
