Charles & Di
Charles and Diana spent part of their honeymoon in Scotland, where the prince loves to fish and stroll. But the two first took a Mediterranean cruise on the royal yacht Britannia.
Charles & Camilla
Charles and Camilla will spend their entire honeymoon at Birkhall hunting lodge on the Balmoral estate in the Scottish Highlands. The wedding that was strewn with hitches The wedding itself has been plagued with ill luck. The Queen herself chose not to attend the nuptials while the delay by a day caused by the Popes death has led to an utter confusion by the rescheduling at such a short notice. There was also uncertainty over the location and guest numbers.
The staff at Windsor Castle has termed the preparations shambolic. And add to all this, the Grand National, Britains leading horse racing event, also coincided with the wedding.
Those at the souvenir shop though were raking in the moolah. Irreverent t-shirts of Camilla and Charles have become a cult fashion hit.
Some are so cheeky that the Windsor council has banned them.
Nevertheless sales have hit the roof. Even tea towels with the old wedding date have sold like hot cakes.
Besides the memorabilia, shopkeepers around Windsor even sold vantage points in their stores so that one could have a glimpse of the couple, at an astronomical price of 2,000 (Rs 1,60,000).
