Two robberies reported in city |

The city police have registered two incidents of house breaking in the last 48 hours in which goods, including precious metals, worth over Rs 24 lakh were stolen. Unidentified persons broke into a garment factory at Om Duttaji Nagar in Worli on the night of April 20 and allegedly escaped with goods including silk raw-material worth about Rs 12,75,375, according to police sources. In another incident, a jewellery shop at Potdar Shopping Centre in Kandivli was allegedly broken into by the security guards of the shopping complex. They fled with gold coins, jewellery and cash totalling around Rs 12.38 lakh. Security guards Bharat Thapa and Kamal Thapa are absconding since the incident.
