Even as he announced his new party on Sunday, Raj Thackeray did not disclose what the agenda would be. I will tour Maharashtra and listen to the people. Let me hear what they have to say, I shall then chalk out my strategy, was his refrain.

We decided to make his task a little simpler and asked 10 Raj supporters who had gathered at Shivaji Park to hear their leader. Heres what they say

Ganesh Mandavkar (22)
He should work for the common man and try to solve his problems. Issues regarding youth and unemployement should also be taken by the party.

Arun Hadkar (25)
The party should concern itself for Maharashtrians only.

Rajesh Phatare (40)
The party should only be for Maharash-trians. It should concentrate on the problems of the Marathi-speaking people and focus on Hindutva.

Jitendra Pawar (24)
Development of Maharash-trians and the state should be the main objective of the party. Maharashtrians should be the main focus of the Sena.

Deepak Are (32)
It should work on the same lines as the Shiv Sena did, when it was founded. Marathi manoos should be the agenda for the party, nothing else.

Nitin Kadam (31)
The party shouldnt bother about others, but work for the Maharashtrian people. It should just focus on getting better opportunities for the sons of the soil.

Baban More (45)
Safeguarding Hindutva, working for the poor and dalits and employment issues should be on the partys agenda.

Vijay Nikam (36)
The new party should aggressively champion the cause of Maharashtrians. It should adopt the sons of the soil policy and safeguard our interests from outsiders trooping into the state. Jobs for the youth should also be on their agenda.

Raj is the third prominent leader to quit the Sena

Raj-Bal Thackeray meet at Matoshree

Party will emerge stronger, say Uddhavs men

Rajs decision to quit the Shiv Sena and float his own political outfit has not affected die-hard party workers.

Suryakant Nanarkar (35)
Let people go, it doesnt make a difference. Many have left the Sena and it hasnt made any difference. We will work harder for the party.

Vijay Neswankar (32)
Rajs exit wont affect the party; the party will grow stronger.

Pritesh Khot (25)
We will follow whatever orders are given to us, whoever leaves doesnt make any difference. We will develop the party.

Sunil Jadhav (29)
The Shiv Sena is like an ocean. One or two people leaving the Sena is like a few drops in the ocean, it doesnt make any difference. The party will go on and on.

Girish Vichare (36)
We are in the Shiv Sena for Bal Thackeray and we will back him no matter who leaves the party.
