New Delhi: Supreme Court today asked the warring factions of the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) to give details about the members who are eligible to vote in the pending annual elections.

A Bench comprising Justice B P Singh and Justice S B Sinha gave the order while hearing the petition for formulating the terms of reference for the Observer to the elections.

The BCCI elections were postponed after the Annual General Body Meeting last month was adjourned with different groups going to Courts demanding an appointment of Observer.

The members however agreed to reconvene before November 30 and complete the election process.

The current petition was filed by cricket associations of Rajasthan and Bihar and Netaji Cricket Club challenging a Kolkata High Court order removing two former Chief Justices of India -- Justice K N Singh and Justice M M Punchi -- and retaining Justice Suhas C Sen, a former SC judge, as the lone observer to the messy AGM on September 22 and 23.

The apex court on October 3 had favoured the appointment of an eminent person other than a judge as observer for BCCI elections in an apparent bid to avoid the unseemly spectacle of judges getting caught in the crossfire of the politics of the Cricket Board.

The disputing parties had yesterday suggested the name of former Chief Election Commissioner T S Krishnamurthy as an observer to the coming polls.
