Channels Family arrested in maid rape case By: A Mid Day Correspondent June 24, 2006 The Oshiwara police have arrested a family of three on suspicion of raping and killing their 10-year-old maid and later destroying evidence. The maid worked at their flat on the third floor of Galactica Towers in Lokhandwala.
The statements of the three Vinod Gajaria (65), his wife Madhu (60) and their son Rajesh (28) were recorded last night.
We have arrested Rajesh and his father Vinod on suspicion of raping and killing the girl and the mother for destroying the evidence, said senior police inspector D Jadhav.
The victim was found hanging from a fan by a bed sheet at the flat on Thursday.
