 RihanFive-year-old Rihan was killed in the blasts on Friday while he was performing namaaz with his uncle Dasdageer Shaikh in the mosque near the kabrastan. Rihan died immediately while his uncle was seriously injured.
Rihans mother, Aneesa Shaikh had been married for nine years and had visited almost all the shrines in the country including Khwaja Moinuddin Chisthi Dargah in Ajmer and the shrine of Mussa Qadri before Rihan was born.
Hanif Shikh (35) Rihans second uncle says, Rihan and Dasdageer routinely performed namaaz at the kabristan every Friday. They offered prayers to their dead relatives. Yesterday they left home at 1.30 pm and never came back.
Aneesa says, He was born after nine years of our marriage. We prayed for him at most religious places and god had finally fulfilled our wish. We were happy to have a child after such a long time, but now weve lost everything.
Aneesa adds, He got admission at a primary school two months back and his grandmother, who stays 40 kilometers away from Malegaon, was excited to see photos of him in a school uniform. But now its all over.
The family only realised the extent of the blasts much later. They earlier assumed it was a cylinder blast and didnt expect it to be that serious.
When they found out that the blast happened near the masjid, Hanif immediately rushed to the spot, but could not find Rihan. The family rushed from one hospital to other and finally, close to midnight, Rihans mother found his body at Wadia hospital.
Dasdageer Shaikh is admitted at Dhule civil hospital. The family says that they are not worried about compensation. But they hope that someone puts an end to the terror, otherwise no other parents would ever pray for a child.
