Channels  Yogesh wins state carrom contest By: A Mid Day Correspondent January 30, 2007 Yogesh wins state carrom contestThird seeded World Cup champion Yogesh Pardeshi of Pune rallied to defeat former national champion Sandeep Deorukhkar of Mumbai in a thrilling encounter to win the first Maharashtra State Ranking Carrom Tournament organised by Shivaji Park Gymkhana at their club premises with the backing of Mumbai District Carrom Association and Maharashtra Carrom Association. Yogesh took home cash prize of Rs 5,000. In the womens singles final Ayesha Mohammed of Mumbai prevailed over statemate and former national champion Sangita Chandorkar in straight games 25-20, 25-4 to pocket a prize of Rs 3,000. Swimming galaIIT Bombay is conducting its annual state level swimming gala on February 24 and 25, 2007.
