Noor Banu Khan was found stabbed and strangulated to death inside her house in suburban Andheri late last evening. Police arrested 18-year old Sultan Sayyed alias Imran, who works in a chicken shop, late at night with bloodstained clothes and in possession of the weapon used to commit the crime. The family suspected someone else to be involved in it but a relative denied any involvement. We later found that Imran had an altercation with the victim and picked him from the chicken shop he was working in, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria told reporters here. Noor Banu, who had looked after Imran since his mothers death 16 years ago, had a tiff with him as he was not earning enough money and Imran retaliated by alleging that some family members had stolen his cellphone. In a fit of anger, he stabbed Khan on the back with a kitchen knife and later strangulated her, Maria said. Email this article Print this article Post / View comments Rate this story: 5
