Channels Chain-snatching duo caught in Goregaon By: A Correspondent March 29, 2007 Chain snatchers Rafiq Asgar Syed and Momin Udeen Gulam Rabani Sheikh, both drivers, were caught by an alert public and arrested by the Goregaon police when they attempted to snatch Susheela Ghates gold chain.
Senior inspector A S Ingole said the duo was caught red handed about 8.20 am yesterday. Sub-inspector P Shaikh and constables Ramesh Kadam and K Palande were patrolling the area at the time of the incident. When the robbers tried to steal, passers-by and the woman raised an alarm.
