Ahmedabad: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, 40 top IAS officers were transferred in Gujarat yesterday, official sources said here.
Additional Chief Secretary (Industries and Mines) D Rajgopalan, the man behind the successful organisation of three Vibrant Gujarat Investment Summits, will now be Additional Chief Secretary in the Finance Department.
Industries Commissioner Gauri Kumar will replace Rajgopalan, they said.
Additional Chief Secretary (Ports and Transport) Sudha Anchalia will be the new Chairman and Managing Director of Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizer Company Ltd.
The government has strengthened the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam Ltd (SSNNL) by appointing three IAS officers in the organisation. Chief Minister Narendra Modi aims to complete the entire Sardar Sarovar Project by 2010 which is also the golden jubilee year of the formation of Gujarat. |
