Rain played spoilsport for enthusiasts who wished to watch the solar eclipse today. The eclipse was to be visible in Bangalore partially from 4.42 pm to 6.07 pm.

During this time Bangalore skies were covered with clouds and it was even raining.

Astronomy enthusiasts who gathered at Nehru Planetarium and even many who were on terraces to witness the celestial spectacle were disappointed.
 
The next total solar eclipse will take place on July 22 next year.
