For a team that wins more often than not, the St Stanislaus' (Bandra) two draws and a win were giving them a hard time.

To make matters worse, they had their backs to the wall in the game against Naval Public (Colaba) in the Nike-MSSA inter-school Div I U-16 football tournament at Azad Maidan yesterday. 

A win would have secured their place in the quarter-final. But anything less would have put a premature end to their campaign.

Luckily, their main player Daniel Samuels made sure that didn't happen as the Bandra boys won 3-1.

"We were a little worried after two draws and knew we had to win this match at any cost.

"In the first half, we were just trying to score and there was no passing. That is why we didn't get the goals," the standard X student said.
