So that this doesn't happen again: Seven serial blasts rocked Mumbai's lifeline in July 2006 |
Groups like AGNI, Aman Biradari, ANHAD, AVEHI, Bombay Sarvodaya Mandal, Karmayog, Mohalla Committee Movement Trust, PRAJA, PUKAR and other organisations will take part.
Teesta Setalvad of Citizens for Peace and Justice said, "Mumbai is a very compassionate city, and has seen its bad moments."
"This peace meet will be symbolic as we will come together as a city. Not only will we offer sympathy to the victims of these terror attacks, but also put forward some harsh questions to the state," she said.
The main objective of the meeting is to fight terror by demanding better security and anti-terrorism measures from the state. A joint declaration demanding action from the state will be signed by the participants.
The event will start at 5.15 pm at Patkar Hall, SNDT Women's University, Churchgate.
