Bangalore:

IF you're between nine and 18 years old and aspire to be astronaut, you can't miss this opportunity…

Space Camp, a program designed by the US Space and Rocket Center, Hunstville, gives kids an opportunity to experience first hand what it's like to be in space.

The six-day intensive training program provides students with a realistic and interactive astronaut training experience, besides teaching them real-world applications of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology.

Students are taken through a mix of classroom sessions and activities such as weightlessness and moonwalks.

They also take part in building and launching rockets to specific design parameters.

Space Camp's Fall 2008 takes place in October.

It includes trips to the National Air and Space Museum, The Baltimore National Aquarium, The ESPN Zone and The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

Registrations are open to students between nine and 18 through their respective schools. To register get in touch with Sudhir Kamath, Space Camp Ambassador India, on 98451 54982
