THE Indian cricket board has postponed the 2011 World Cup's Central Organising Committee (COC) meeting scheduled to take place in Colombo tomorrow.
According to BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah, president Sharad Pawar is busy with other things on that day. But apparently, the bigwigs of the Indian board are "not happy" with the recent remarks by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) chief Arjuna Ranatunga.
The 1996 World Cup-winning captain criticised the IPL for not making "participation" payments to their board and has ridiculed Twenty20 matches. Ranatunga also attributed India's loss in the first Test in Colombo (as reported in MID DAY ) to the latest form of the game.
Another incident that did not go down well with Indian administrators was the presence of rebel ICL cricketer Upul Chandana in the presentation party for the Galle Test on Sunday.
