Extra terrestrial material has always been popular with science enthusiasts, but who would have thought someone would pay $36,000 (Rs 15 lakh) for a rock the size of a pineapple?

The meteorite weighs 28 lbs (12.7 kg).

Largest ever

The rock was found in the American state of Arizona in 2004 and is believed to be the largest ever found in that area.

The LA-based company who sells "guaranteed-authentic original historical" artefacts, will no doubt be over the moon about this sale, that's one expensive paper weight!
