Sequence of events (according to her boyfriend's police complaint):Pragya Sonawane (name changed), a call centre employee at IBM, Pune, had returned home at around 8.30 pm on Thursday night. She then received a call, asking her to return to office. She was picked up by the office cab. The cabbie took her to an isolated place on a hill near Phursungi, where he and another eight to 10 men gang-raped her.
Loopholes:
- Roommates say she was at home all of Thursday night
- No bruises on her body
- Cell phone records show no incoming call from office
- No entries in the IBM office logbook regarding the cab leaving office to pick up the girl

When MiD DAY spoke to the victim's brother at Sassoon Hospital, he said, "My sister in a state of shock and is not speaking. I cannot say anything more now."
