Sania Mirza's miserable Olympics experience ended yesterday when she and partner Sunitha Rao crashed out of the women's doubles at the second round stage.
The Indian duo lost 6-4, 6-4 to top seeds Svetlana Kuznetsova and Dinara Safina of Russia.
Mirza's chances at the Games had already been compromised by a wrist injury which forced her to retire from her first round singles clash while trailing the Czech Republic's Iveta Benesova.
