HIMANI Nagrath dared to dream. She would sit in her classroom and fantasise about playing a football match and winning it for her school. And that's what exactly happened yesterday.

In with a bang

Himani's brace helped her school Arya Vidya Mandir (Juhu) start their first ever inter-school outing with a bang. She stole the show in AVM's 2-0 win against St Joseph's (Bandra) in the group stage of the Nike-MSSA girls' U-16 inter-school football tournament at Azad Maidan.

But downplaying her heroics on the football pitch, Himani credited her skipper for the stunning performance. "It was only after Drishti Khanna told me to go for the goals, I was able to score. I owe it to her" Himani said.
