.: The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has decided to conduct a narco analysis test on alleged SIMI activists Nadeem Sheikh (27), Ayaz Sheikh (26), Bilal Kagazi (25) and Imtiyaaz Sheikh. The ATS wants to confirm their role in the Ahmedabad blasts and their membership with SIMI.

A few weeks back, the ATS had arrested Nadeem and Ayaz from Pune in connection with a fake currency racket, while Imtiyaaz was arrested in a dacoity case in Thane. Bilal was arrested under the Arms Act.

According to ATS chief Hemant Karkare, all the four arrested knew each other. "We will conduct a narco test on them and only then will we be able to tell about their links with the blasts and SIMI. In fact, Nadeem has international links," he said. The ATS is carrying out a major combing operation within the state. "The ATS has been questioning more than 200 people all over Maharashtra."
