While Mumbai police have issued a look-out notice for Ken Haywood, the Gujarat police are not at all concerned that he has escaped India. They say they had already given Haywood a clean chit a week back and say that investigations related to him were at a dead end.

The Ahmedabad blast case is being investigated by the Gujarat police with the help of the Mumbai police.

Ashish Bhatia, Joint Commissioner of Police, Crime, said, "We have already given him a clean chit. It was a dead end and hence we are not worried about him leaving for America."

He added, "The email was either sent by the Mumbai engineer or by someone from the group. It was not Haywood."

When asked why the Mumbai police are still probing him, he said that he had no idea.
