As part of MSRTC's plan to improve security measures, ST conductors are now educating passengers about safety norms to be followed on these buses. Since last week, ST buses have been starting their journey only after conductors have read out the guidelines.

The conductors tell passengers to keep luggage on the racks, beware of any terrorist activity, look out for suspicious people, etc. MSRTC has also provided pamphlets carrying these guidelines.

"After the blasts in Jaipur and Ahmedabad, it was our duty to improve safety measures," said Om Prakash Gupta, vice-chairman and managing director of MSRTC. Mukund Dhus, the MSRTC PRO, said, "The response has been positive."
