Security forces and police today rescued four people who were abducted by militants in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.
A cordon and search operation was launched in Hurar area of Chatroo belt in Kishtwar and four people rescued from a militant hideout, they said.
Mushtaq Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed, Abdullah and Gohar of Ramnagar tehsil in Udhampur district were rescued, they said.
They were forcibly recruited to the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit after receiving training to handle arms and ammunition.
They were earlier forced to supply ration to militants in the area, they said.
