MiD DAY's 'How smart chors stole designer clothes', August 21, has brought a similar incident at a boutique on Warden Road to light.

Sapna Mathur, owner of Earthshade boutique, was shocked after reading the story in MiD DAY, as she had been conned the same way earlier this month. According to Sapna, the same group had visited her shop on August 9 and robbed clothes worth Rs 1.5 lakh. Sapna said two groups of one woman and two men each had come to her shop that evening. While one man from the first group unfolded clothes for a better look, the others kept her busy in conversation. "I remember the man clearly. He is the same as the one in the video on the MiD DAY website. The modus operandi was the same."

Sub Inspector Chimaji Jadhav from Gamdevi police station said, "We have registered Mathur's complaint. After seeing the video, we hope to arrest the culprits soon."
