More skeletons: Swamy Dayanand Pandey |
Pandey, a married man with two children who live in Kanpur, allegedly confessed to investigators that he had installed a hidden camera in his ashram room to record sexual encounters with his disciples without their knowledge. He would then convert them into CDs.
Entertainment
Though Pandey claims that the records were for his personal use, police found that he used to watch them with close friends frequently. The ATS even recovered a couple of films stored in Pandey's laptop to use it as evidence against him.
Pandey said he had a large female following and some of the exploited victims were widows who had come to him, seeking solace. He said he never forced them to have a physical relationship but managed it through his charm. "I used to have a relationship with disciples who agreed to it," Pandey reportedly told the police.
He also confessed that there were four to five disciples with whom he used to have a physical relationship regularly but did not remember the exact number he had exploited so far, police said.
Confessions
Pandey admitted to being the main conspirator in the Malegaon blast and he was the main link between Pragya Singh Thakur and Lt Col Prasad Purohit. Pandey confessed that he had procured RDX from a few locals in Jammu and Kashmir involved in arms smuggling. He managed to establish contact with the arms dealers since they were originally from Pune, he said.
Pandey also revealed that he paid around Rs 10,000 for the RDX and had handed it over to Purohit who used his military intelligence inputs to locate a local group in Malegaon to assemble bombs for a price.
