The poor man's car  Tata Nano
Termed as the poor man's car, the Tata Nano will be a small city car, affordable at Rs 1 lakh. The rear-engined, four-passenger car was initially set to roll out of Tata production facility at Singur.
However, opposition from locals and the ensuing violence forced the Tatas to move out of West Bengal. The Nano will now be manufactured from a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit located near Ahmedabad in Gujarat.
