No entry on certain city roads today

Devotees offer prayers on Ashadi Ekadashi today, at the Vithal Mandir in Wadala. The occassion marks the arrival of Sant Jnaneshwar and Sant Tukaram at Lord Vitthala's shrine in Pandharpur on the Ekadashi. The traffic police have made specific regulations in central Mumbai for the over three lakh devotees who are expected to visit the Vithal Mandir in Wadala, on the occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi today.

Entry will be barred on Tilak Road from Dadar TT to the end of Katrak Road.

There will be no entry on Mancharji Joshi Road from its junction towards Jame Jamshedji Road, five gardens and Tilak Road.

Motorists won't be allowed on Katrak Road from Don Bosco circle to G D Ambekar Road and Tilak Road.

Entry is barred on G D Ambekar Road from Sarfare Chowk to Naigaum Cross Road.

Entry is also barred on Parsee Colony Road No13 and 14 and on Dinshaw Road from Mancherji Joshi Marg to its junction with Katrak Road. 

The regulations will remain effective till 2 am tomorrow.
