New Delhi: The main opposition NDA was confident that the Congress-led government would not be able to win the July 22 trust vote, BJP general secretary Arun Jaitley said yesterday.
Briefing reporters after a meeting of the chief ministers of the NDA-ruled states, Jaitley said, "This government is slipping in numbers. There are many MPs outside the NDA who are against it."
Jaitley said the NDA chief ministers discussed the political strategy to defeat the UPA government in the trust vote. He said the NDA would highlight the "failure" of the government in controlling inflation along with its "inability" to protect national interests.
