Four persons have been arrested for involvement in the murder of a man in Navi Mumbai in an incident of roadrage, police said today.
Rizwan Idris, 24, was stabbed with a screwdriver at a toll booth at Vashi yesterday after he got into an argument with the four.
A vehicle allegedly overtook several cars, including the taxi in which Idris was travelling, to jump the queue at the toll booth.
Idris alighted from the taxi and went to the car and had an argument with the occupants. Idris allegedly abused them verbally.
One of the occupants of the vehicle took out a screwdriver and stabbed Idris in the chest. The vehicle then sped away and Idris was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Based on information from witnesses at the site of the incident, the police said they had arrested the four persons yesterday who were allegedly in the vehicle.
The four arrested are Rajkumar Patil, Vikas Alkankar, Roshan Mhatre and Yogesh Mhatre, Navi Mumbai police said.
