A 24-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped by her driving instructor and his friend in the Hazrat Nizamuddin area of south district on Monday.

According to the police, Priya (name chanded) had come to take driving class from Surender Aggarwal of Royal Motor Driving school located near Bhogal.

On Sunday, when the victim had gone to learn driving from Aggarwal, he was with his friend, Ravi. "The two allegedly gave her a drink laced with drugs after which  Priya fell unconscious.

Then, she was taken to a flat in New Friends Colony where both of them raped her," said a police official.

Priya was taken to the AIIMS, where doctors confirmed rape. Later she lodged a complaint following which the police registered a case of rape against the two.

The police arrested Aggarwal while Ravi is absconding.

As Priya's husband had died two years ago because of cancer, she was living with her father in Hari Nagar.

Her father, who runs a shawl business had gone to Jammu for a business trip.
