A 23-year-old woman jumped from the tenth floor of a building in Preet Vihar to commit suicide on Tuesday.

Salvi, a resident of Lodhi colony, jumped from the tenth floor of Roop Towers in Laxmi Nagar district centre, at around 1 pm.

Police sources said that Salvi first hit an air conditioner at the balcony of the second floor and then hit a sign board at the fourth floor of the tower before falling on the ground.

Critical condition

 She was rushed to the Lal Bahadur Shastri hospital where her condition is said to be critical.

Salvi was working as an executive with a private bank. The police remained tighlipped about the incident. Sources in the police said that they had received a suicide note from the victim.
