Lewis Hamilton

Formula One's hottest property McLaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton is all set to make a flying visit, literally, into Mumbai today.

The current championship leader, with 58 points from 10 races will be spending the afternoon with fans and the media at an event organised by McLaren Mercedes' team sponsors Vodafone at the Hakone go-karting track in Powai.

"Hamiton will drive around alone for maybe one or two laps after which he will pose for photographs and spend some time with the media," one of the organisers informed.

Currently, in the middle of an action-packed Formula One season, it's no surprise that Hamilton will be leaving the city today itself.

The next Formula One race is in Hungary on August 3, where he will attempt a hat-trick of wins after taking the chequered flag in Silverstone and Hockenheim. Looks like Hamilton burning rubber in Powai tomorrow will only add to the Mumbai heat.

Unless, the rain gods make things a bit complicated and the ace Briton has to switch to wet weather tyres!
