6 bike-borne assailants held

In police net: Six bike-borne assailants held by the police 

The Noida police arrested six motorcycle-borne assailants on Tuesday from Sector 62.

They had planned to loot a jewellery shop at Sector 18, Noida on Wednesday.

Investigation

Noida SSP RK Chaturvedi has not yet confirmed any linkage of this gang with  the bikers gang operating in Delhi.

Chaturvedi said, "We have started the investigation.

The photographs of all the assailants have been sent to the police stations of the neighbouring states."

The assailants Zunaed, Hamid Ali, Almudin, Anil Arora, Zayed Mohammad, Jai Prakash Thakur were intercepted at Mamoora Chowk at Sector 62.

One of the bikers fired one round at the police, Chaturvedi added.

Two country made pistols, four live cartridges, four knives and two bikes were recovered from them.

Chaturvedi said, "All of them belong to Bulandsahar and Moradabad. They have their base in Delhi's Gazipur Mandi."

Delhi and Moradabad police were also in Noida to identify these bikers.
