Celebs mock the corrupt system

Delhi:

I don't follow politics enough. This is really shocking and it is a national shame. I watched the complete proceeding of the vote of confidence in Parliament to ensure the immediate survival of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government, and it was complete chaos. No one maintained the decorum of the Parliament and this is not how country runs.

This is the nadir. Its is a shame. What is point in being in an institution like this.

- Kapil Sibal, minister

This is shocking. This will happen if people like Lalu Prasad Yadav and others RJD members people like them are in the UPA.  This is horrible.

- Brinda Karat, CPM leader

It is a question of integration of politicians. We don't have expectations from them that is why it was not surprising but such an incident, the members of Parliament waving money in front of the Speaker during vote of trust on July 22,  is really not good for our country. India needs more educated and young people who should venture politics with greater vision for the country.

Everyone knows that 99 percent of politician joins politics for money and power. They have nothing to do with social service. During the trust vote the parliamentarians were springing to their feet and shouting. We are used to see our MP's shouting, throwing chairs, tearing cloths inside the Parliament. Since last 15 days it was in public knowledge that MP's were being bought and sold.

I really don't know about the incident as I was too busy with my schedule. I did not even got time to see television or read newspaper.

- Lushin Dubey, theatre actress

I have heard about it but does not know exactly what happened so I cannot comment.
- Rajeev Khandelwal,  actor

This is a shameful reality. MP's showing money in the Parliament that they were being bribed was ridiculous. It shows lack of education among the people who run our country. It was surprising to see parliamentarians disrespecting the Speaker openly.
