Dr Shirish Sheth

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists has elected Dr Shirish Sheth as the honorary fellow of the college. This Honorary Fellowship [FACOG(Hon)] will be conferred on him at a convocation in Chicago in May 2009.

He is the first obstetrician and gynaecologist from India to have been chosen as honorary fellow of the prestigious college. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London, had conferred the Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, (FRCOG Ad Eundem) on Dr Sheth in 1996.

In 2000-2003, he served as president of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics, which included 102 countries.
