If you were at the Marwar Wedding show recently, you would doubt the country has been hit by inflation. The annual show held at World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade from July 26 to 28 was a huge hit among shoppers.

Velji Bhai from Kanchana Design Studio, Vile Parle, said, "I have sold two lashas worth Rs 5 lakh. It doesn't matter if the stock market is up or down or whether there is inflation, buyers don't think of money when they are shopping."

Shraddha Podar from Ranchi, who bought five designer dresses, said, "I am getting married soon and so was eagerly waiting for this show, as it has all the designer clothes under one roof."

However, there are others who felt the pinch. Kamoal-thip Wisuttikulpanich, owner of Alta Auro Asia, who came from Thailand, said, "I have visited the show earlier too and so I could feel the pinch of inflation."
