Two alligators who were washed away in flood from the Tata Zoological Park in Jamshedpur last month are back into their enclosure, much to the relief of the zoo officials.
"We are relieved that they are back.
But the third alligator is, however, still at large," said M S Jain, Director of the Park in Southern Jharkhand.
He said that the endangered reptiles were swept away in the flood following heavy downpour in the town on June 8 and it was after intensive search that one was recovered from the nearby river on July 5.
To prevent a repetition, Jain said the site is being shifted to a safer place, above the flood level, as the present location is near the boundary wall, which runs along the river.
