The Delhi Government has derecognised a school in East Delhi after it was found that one of its teachers had badly hit a girl student on the head due to which she went into coma for more than a month.
A three-member team probed that the allegations levelled against the teacher of Dinkar National Model School were not only true but the school was violating several norms.
"We have derecognised the school as the complaint regarding the beating of the girl by the teacher has been found to be true," Arvinder Singh Lovely, Delhi Education Minister said.
Not only has corporal punishment been reported from the school, we have found that the institute was flouting various norms, a senior official added. |
